4 BV Southwest off to strong start

In its first year of varsity competition, Blue Valley Southwest, 15-3-1, has a chance to reach the Kansas 5A-1A finals with a win tonight against Valley Center, 14-5-0. If the Timberwolves win the title, it will be the first team title in any sport in school history. Although this is a new program, BV Southwest features several players who have played soccer most of their lives. And it shows in their firepower — Amanda Creason, Nikki Lynch, Mackenzie Baird and Janae Hicklin have all scored 10 or more goals.
